Were the ancient English people of Sanole color?
Were the ancient English people of Sanole color?
A state-of-the-art
scientific study has revealed that ten thousand years ago, the skin of a
British man was very dark.
Scientists at the
Natural History Museum in London and the University College of London extracted
DNA from the remains of a man discovered in 1903, analyzed it and then
estimated his facial features and color based on it.
This shows that the
white color of Europeans came into being later.
This research has
provided valuable information about the first humans to settle in the UK after
the last ice age.
This person has
been named Cheddarman. The structure was found 115 years ago in a cave in
Cheddar Gorge, Somerset County.
The structure shows
that the man was five and a half feet tall and was about 20 years old at the
time of his death.
Central researcher
Professor Chris Stringer said: 'I have been working on the Chaderman structure
for 40 years. Now look at this man's face, his hair, face, eye color and dark
skin. "It simply came to our notice then.
Marks on the man's
skull suggest he died of violence. It is possible that his tribesmen brought
him into the cave.
